Vision Board meets Paper Bag Album

I made this for someone very dear to me. There are plenty of pockets and tags for her to write inspirational quotes and affirmations and to place pictures she finds inspirational.

Most of the paper is CTMH "Notebook" - now retired. Most of the stamps are Tim Holtz and the embellishments are left-over bits and pieces.

The roses... I'm totally in love with paper roses.  They're super messy from the Mod Podge and  glitter gets everywhere.  Glitter and glue = fun day.  Experimentation with with various rose-making techniques continues. Here is the tutorial  for these roses. I like pictures better than the YouTube tutorials.  The videos just move too fast for me.

Happy crafting!

  2. Hi. I have really enjoyed your blog. I am Taryn Field's mother, Julie Field. C.E. shared your blog with us one evening. He is very proud of you and your talents. Blaine and I also enjoyed meeting your husband this last weekend. Maybe we can meet at the WSU game in Pullman.

  3. Hi Julie,
How nice to meet you via cyber space. Thank you for the kind comments. Mike told me how much he enjoyed meeting you and your husband and visiting with you during the game. I've heard such lovely things about Taryn, and I'm so eager to meet her.

I'm delighted to hear that you will be at Pullman. We will have some friends and family gathered for tailgating and I hope you will join us for refreshments before the game and half time.
If you will email me directly I can give you my cell number and let you know where we're set up.

    Have a great day :)

  5. Ok , now that I've re-read the page, I see it says 'paper bag album' not sure how I made that mistake--thought it was the small album from the ctmh catalogue :)

  7. Question: On the diagonal cut pages....did you just cut that top part of the paper bag? or are those just diagonal dsp adhered on top of the paperbag page?

  8. Sandy, I don't cut the pages of the paper bag album. I cut two triangles of DSP and layer it over the paper bag. Then I use ribbon or something sturdy along the edges to make the paper strong enough to withstand a tag being pulled in and out.
